Liberman & Ebright, Optometry

Patricia Ebright, O.D.

Dr. Patricia Ebright completed her Bachelor of Science at U.C. Davis and went on to receive her optometry degree from U.C. Berkeley. She started working with Dr. Liberman while in optometry school and joined the practice as an associate upon graduating. She then became partner in 2003. She worked in several different optometry offices throughout the Bay Area such as in Cupertino, Pinole, and San Francisco. She also performed vision screening at Bay Area schools through the MCT program. Her externship training included Seymour Johnson Air Force Base in North Carolina as well as Veterans Hospitals in Tacoma and San Francisco. She also received a teaching fellowship from U.C. Berkeley.

Dr. Ebright grew up in Santa Rosa. She lived several years in San Francisco, but now resides in Sonoma. She enjoys running (completed a marathon), and martial arts (has a black belt in kung fu).


Gary Liberman, O.D., Ph.D.

Dr. Gary Liberman received his Bachelor of Science and his optometry degree from U.C. Berkeley. He then went on to complete a Ph.D. in Physiological Optics. He served many years as clinical faculty at U.C. Berkeley and was very active in research in the field of corneal physiology and contact lenses. He has published extensively in these and related fields.

Dr. Liberman in a native of Vallejo. He currently resides in Napa. He enjoys wine collecting and golf.


Stephen C. Puckett O.D., F.A.A.O.

Dr. Puckett earned his Optometry degree from the University of California at Berkeley in 1997, and completed his residency at the San Francisco Veterans Affairs Medical Center in 1998. He has practiced in a variety of settings including clinical research, private practice, and hospital based patient care. In addition to practicing at Liberman and Ebright Optometry, Dr. Puckett currently serves as a civilian staff member at David Grant Medical Center, Travis Air Force Base where he treats patients and instructs optometry interns on rotation at the hospital.

He has served as a Clinical Instructor at U.C. Berkeley, and is currently an Adjunct Clinical Professor for the Pacific University College of Optometry, Southern California College of Optometry, and the State University of New York College of Optometry. Dr. Puckett is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry, and an Examiner for the National Board of Examiners in Optometry.

He is also a Colonel in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves. He has served in a variety of positions and locations in his 22 years of service, to include combat during Desert Storm, and deploying in support of the current war on terrorism.

Dr. Puckett enjoys running and cycling, and currently resides with his wife and son in Concord, California.
